I asked readers to share their tips for cleaning with baking soda and vinegar, and we got some good ones!
Here are some of the tips I got:
My mom would run vinegar through the coffee pot about once a month to clean build up.
Sometimes I use apple cider vinegar in my shampoo. It works like a clarifying shampoo and is good for dandruff. And, it's good for dandruff. I also put beef in my hair once, but I think I prefer drinking it.

I keep a spray bottle of vinegar by my sink! I especially like to use it to clean off Isaiah's high chair, but I use it on the floors and counters, too.
Also, a good tip for your homemade deodorant:
If it is irritating, cut back on the baking soda.
Now, time for some questions and answers:
Q: How often do you wash your hair (using the no 'poo method)?
A: Most blogs say to only use it to wash about 3 times a week, but I use it almost every day. I do like to deep condition once a week, though.
Q: Do you prefer white or apple cider vinegar (for your no 'poo conditioner)?
A: I heard somewhere that white vinegar is good for blonde hair and apple cider vinegar is good for darker hair, so you could go by that. I use white vinegar because I don't really like the smell of apple cider vinegar. Both have worked well for me, though.
Bonus: Money saving tip from my mom - Those foam soap despensers ARE refillable. Fill the bottle no more than 1/4 with the liquid soap of choice and the rest of the with water and mix well. The more concentrated your soap the less you need to add or it won't foam, just kinda spit/gurgle.
And, not that it saves much money, but when my bar soap gets down to a sliver, I get a new bar, wet both, and press the sliver into the new bar. Then every little sliver gets used.
That's it! I hope you'll "tune in" friday for a little lesson on sourdough!
